Everyone is spending a lot more time at home. DIY projects are becoming a very important part of our lives. There are several home improvements that we can do while we’re stuck at home that will increase our home’s value and curb appeal.
Many of the projects listed below can be completed during isolation but not all of them can be finished in one day. If you take on a project have fun, treat it as a therapeutic activity.
- Landscaping – The outside of the home is the first thing that a potential buyer will look at. Curb appeal is a huge factor so your home must look incredible outside. You can build a planter/garden. These projects do require some labor and outdoor time, but as long as you have the right tools it’s not too hard to complete.
- Painting – Try a cool accent wall somewhere, either a fun color, or try getting adventurous and paint it uniquely. Repaint your doors. A well-painted front door yields great curb appeal. Painting kitchen cabinets is a great way to remodel and upgrade the kitchen on a budget.
- New hardware – Replacing old hardware is such an easy project that you can do on your own. From doorknobs to faucets, adding modern and sleek hardware can make your home look cleaner and more up-to-date.
- New light fixtures- Updating your lights is a great way to improve your home’s overall aesthetic. Changing up your lights is an easy way to make your rooms look a lot cuter.
